As a Harvey Weinstein news reverberates around Hollywood, a hits usually keep on entrance for other group in energy who have finished creepy shit with their change over women in a industry.
And this time around, it’s Steven Seagal who is being outed as a creep, from a story told by now-journalist Lisa Guerrero, who years ago was perplexing to be an actress.
The newswoman, who was posterior an behaving career in a mid-1990s, recounted a story to THR on Friday evening, pity sum about what happened when she went to Seagal’s residence to try-out for a lead womanlike purpose in a 1997 film Fire Down Below.
For her initial initial try-out during Seagal’s home, she privately asked a casting executive Shari Rhodes to join her, so she wouldn’t be alone — and Seagal watched her perform scenes while wearing zero yet a silk robe. Kinda… bizarre?
But it was after a initial try-out that things got unequivocally weird.
As Guerrero explains (below):
“[Rhodes] said, ‘Great job. Great job.’ [Seagal] had said, ‘We’re going to call you.’ So we ran out to my car, a square of crap Nissan on this Beverly Hills street, and we usually remember feeling like we dodged a bullet. we immediately called my manager and told her we was OK. By a time we got home she called me and pronounced they called behind and wanted me to go behind that night for ‘a private rehearsal.'”
A private rehearsal?! In other words, another time that night yet Rhodes benefaction where Seagal could do whatever a fuck he wanted?!
Yeah, no thanks…
Guerrero incited it down — and categorically since of that, she was denied a lead partial (below):
“My manager during a time, Lorraine Berglund, kept notes. She still has them all these years later. Then we got a phone call. They said, ‘Well, we don’t have a lead now, since we refused to go behind for a ‘private rehearsal,’ yet we would like to offer we a smaller role. You are to news to habit and a set.’ It was a one-day shoot. we was an actor who wanted a credit on my resume and wanted a stage on my reel, so we pronounced yes. It was accepted that we would not have to be alone with him.”
Tacky, Mr. Seagal. Really run-down — and creepy.
Once on set, things didn’t get any better, though.
Guerrero remembers (below):
“I did a scene. However we felt worried since he was with these other masculine expel and organisation members giggling and leering during me, like they were carrying some kind of boys’ fun about me. we was a usually lady in that closeness and clearly they were articulate about me. Then he came adult to me and asked me to go to his sauce room. we was appalled. we contingency have been splendid red. we was humiliated. we was so embarrassed. At this indicate I’m 31 years old, I’m not 18, yet we felt like a child. we pronounced no. And he gave me a dismissive demeanour and walked away. My purpose was totally cut out of a film. we trust it was since we declined his offers 3 times.”
What a FUCK, man?!
Can we severely inform Hollywood of these creepy-ass group once and for all?!
It’s 2017! This shit HAS to be done!!!
