All this week BBC News has been looking during Britain’s flourishing problem with mental illness, conference from sufferers, politicians and a professionals who are in a front line of care.
But, adult and down a country, there are also charities and intentional organisations dedicated to assisting those who have grown mental health problems.
One in that army of volunteers is Tom McAlpine, who set-up a MoodSwings gift in Manchester in 1999 with a faith that it is probable for those pang even serious mental health issues to make a good recovery.
Tom and his organisation have helped thousands over a years and some contend he has literally save their lives.
