CNN anchor Jake Tapper regularly asked Donald Trump on Sunday to malign David Duke’s support for his candidacy, though Trump insisted he didn’t know anything about about a former KKK grand wizard.
“Will we unquestionably reject David Duke and contend that we don’t wish his opinion and that of other white supremacists in this election?” Tapper asked Trump on “State of a Union.”
But Trump, a Republican presidential frontrunner, pronounced he didn’t have adequate information to answer a question:
I don’t know anything about David Duke, OK? we don’t know anything about what you’re even articulate about with white leverage or white supremacists. So we don’t know. we mean, we don’t know — did he validate me or what’s going on? Because we know zero about David Duke. we know zero about white supremacists. And so you’re seeking me a doubt that I’m ostensible to be articulate about people that we know zero about.
BuzzFeed reported final week that Duke, a distinguished white nationalist, urged his supporters to behind Trump. Duke was quoted observant on his radio uncover that “voting opposite Donald Trump during this indicate is unquestionably fraud to your heritage.”

On his Sunday show, Tapper continued to press Trump on a subject.
“Even if we don’t know about their endorsement, there are these groups and people endorsing you. Would we only contend unquestionably that we reject them and we don’t wish their support?” he asked Trump.
But Trump again insisted again he didn’t know about Duke:
I have to demeanour during a group. we mean, we don’t know what organisation you’re articulate about. You wouldn’t wish me to reject a organisation that we know zero about. we have to look. If we would send me a list of a groups, we will do investigate on them. And positively we would rescind if we suspicion there was something wrong.
“The Klu Klux Klan?” Tapper interjected.
Trump continued his answer but addressing a KKK.
“You might have groups in there that are totally excellent and it would be really unfair. So give me a list of a groups, and I’ll let we know,” he told Tapper.
Tapper seemed rather perplexed.
“OK, we mean, I’m only articulate about David Duke and a Klu Klux Klan here, but…” he said, trailing off and mouth-watering Trump to comment.
“Honestly, we don’t know David Duke. we don’t trust I’ve ever met him. I’m flattering certain I’ve didn’t accommodate him. And we only don’t know anything about him,” Trump said.
On Friday, Trump briefly said during a press discussion that he would rescind Duke’s support.
