The British Library’s competition to save aged audio recordings

The British Library is in a routine of digitising a 6.5 million sound recordings.

The audio is in some-more than 40 opposite formats from polish cylinders to MiniDiscs so staff are carrying to hunt down aged machines to play behind a audio.

Some recordings are also spiritless and could be mislaid within 15 years unless they are digitised.
