Richa Chadha: I’m as independent, empowered as any other operative woman

Actor Richa Chadha believes she is as “independent and empowered” as any other working woman though that does not meant she is usually drawn to such characters.

The actor, famous for her powerhouse performances in films such as Oye Lucky Lucky Oye, Gangs of Wasseypur array and Masaan, pronounced a roles she chooses ring with reality.

“I’m as eccentric or empowered as any other working woman in this city. To be posterior any contention isn’t easy given it is still essentially a man’s world. It affects how we get paid and your hours of work, among other things.

“It’s not like I’m drawn to usually these characters. Maybe I’m removing a bit stereotyped. But during slightest I’m not removing monotonous as some tears victim,” Richa told PTI.

The actor says her routine of selecting projects has altered with time.

“I cruise ‘Gangs…’ my branch point. we can’t trust it has been 7 years already. we have come a prolonged approach given then, generally in terms of what we wish to do now. we have a knowledge today,” she added.

And that is why, when filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar approached her to underline in a strain video Neel Samandar as an Andaman tribal, she could not exclude a offer.
