Many roads ‘have no mobile coverage’

More than 4,500 miles of British roads have no mobile phone coverage, investigate by a motoring gift has suggested.

About 2% of all roads in England, Scotland and Wales have no 2G coverage, a smallest compulsory to make a call or send a text, pronounced a RAC Foundation.

Almost 29,000 miles have usually prejudiced coverage, while 14,554 miles of highway have no 3G coverage, it added.

Phone operators pronounced billions of pounds a year were being invested in coverage – that “has never been better”.
