Lindsay Lohan Walks Back Her Controversial #MeToo Comments, Releases New Statement Apologizing For ‘Any Pain we May Have Caused’

The singer made some argumentative comments about a #MeToo transformation this week, going so distant as to call out women who pronounce out opposite nuisance as “looking weak,” yet now, she’s perplexing to set a record straight.

The embattled star released a new matter to People on Sunday afternoon, apologizing for her remarks and a pain that she might have caused by them.

Here is her statement, in full (below):

“I would like to unreservedly apologize for any harm and trouble caused by a quote in a new talk with The Times. The quote only associated to my wish that a handful of fake testimonies out of a tsunami of drastic voices do not offer to intermix a significance of a #MeToo movement, and all of us who champion it. However, we have given schooled how statements like cave are seen as hurtful, that was never my intent. I’m contemptible for any pain we might have caused. we feel really strongly about a #MeToo transformation and have a pinnacle honour and indebtedness for a women dauntless adequate to come brazen and pronounce out about their experiences. Their testimony has served to strengthen those who can’t speak, and give strength to those who have struggled to have their voices heard.”
