“It’s insane!” a new mom told PEOPLE Wednesday during Beauty Essex in Los Angeles during a “Girls Night Out” cocktail eventuality to applaud her new Kohl’s LC Lauren Conrad Runway + Plus Size Collection — Conrad’s initial red runner coming post-baby.
“I took a print of [Liam] yesterday,” says Conrad, 31, adding with a laugh, “I’m perplexing to take a monthly print — all of a good moms do it — I’m unequivocally trying. So we took it and we looked during it subsequent to his 1-month photo, and he had only changed. Like he was a totally opposite baby, and we was like, ‘Oh my God.’ ”
But Conrad admits it’s “good” to feel that way. “I consider that we can become a small overwhelmed, only being during home with your baby all day,” she explains. “But saying how quick they change, we comprehend it’s so critical not to skip anything. It roughly creates it harder to leave them.”

And nonetheless she spends all of her time with her gold of joy, a designer, author and lifestyle expert stepped out for a bit to applaud a launch of her new collection while Liam spent time during home with her counsel father — who, according to Conrad, has been a super hands-on dad.
“He’s great,” she shares of Tell, 37. “He’s not fearful of babies, that is unequivocally helpful. He was 11 when his younger sister was born, so he has a lot of experience with babies. So that was unequivocally nice. He had approach some-more knowledge than we did.”

As for how it’s been to knowledge being a first-time mom? “It’s been great!” says Conrad. “Honestly, it’s accurately as everybody describes it. It’s a best and hardest thing you’ll ever do.”
She continues, “It’s amazing. You tumble so in adore with your little chairman — it’s a whole new life.”
