She’s speaking out again.
On Thursday, Jenny McCarthy retold her harassment story involving Steven Seagal from 1995. The blonde industry vet detailed the unsavory encounter for her SiriusXM radio show.
The former Playboy covergirl previously shared her experience with Seagal back in 1998, but decided to recount the allegations once more following Julianna Margulies‘ recent allegations of misconduct against the Above the Law star. According to Miz McCarthy, Seagal sexually harassed her during an audition for the film Under Siege 2.
Jenny claims she “purposefully wore a muumuu to the audition so the casting people would actually look at [her] face and watch [her] work.” However, McCarthy got bad vibes about the tryout as soon as she arrived as she noticed that no one else was in the casting room.
“So I stand across from (Seagal) and he plops onto a sofa that’s near a fireplace. And he points at the sofa cushion next to him, saying to me, ‘Take a seat. Relax.’ I said, ‘No, thank you! I’m just really excited to read for this part. And I have so much energy I need to stand.'”
Amid recounting his experiences on combat missions, Steven out-of-nowhere noted to Jenny:
‘’‘You know, this part has nudity in it. And I can’t really tell what your body looks like in that dress that you’re wearing.'”
The now 45-year-old immediately called bullshit on the situation as her agent had specifically told her the part required no nudity. She continued:
“In my head, I’m like, ‘Okay here we go. Sound the alarms, this is not a test, this is the real thing, activate all defense systems.’ But I so wanted to legitimately read for this part that I wasn’t gonna give up yet. So I told him, ‘Listen. My agent says there’s no nudity. I specifically asked her and she said no.'”
Allegedly, Steven then claimed that “off-camera nudity” was required and demanded she lower her dress. When Jenny begged to just read the scene, Seagal repeated his request so he could “see her breasts.”
Understandably, Jenny broke down in tears and yelled:
“Go buy my Playboy video — it’s on sale for $19.99.”
She then departed the audition. Sadly, Seagal followed Jenny to her car and warned her not to tell anyone about the audition — “or else.” On how the incident stayed with her, McCarthy shared:
“It was so disheartening. And I thought about like, ‘I was the last girl that day. How many girls had to take off their clothes? How many girls had to do more?’ It just so grossed me out.”
Girl, we don’t blame you.
Unsurprisingly, a spokesperson for Seagal has since denied McCarthy’s allegations. Hey, you know what they say — where there’s smoke, there’s fire.
