Inside George and Amal Clooney’s New Life as Parents to Twins

George and Amal Clooney hit a red runner during the 74th Venice Film Festival on Saturday – imprinting their initial red runner appearance since welcoming their twins in June.

While George is premiering his dim comedy Suburbicon (which he destined and co-wrote) during a festival, a outing has not been all work for a happy new parents.

Since nearing in Venice progressing in a week, a Clooneys have enjoyed several fun nights out. After a pre-festival date night out on a town on Thursday, the couple stepped out for a glamorous dinner on Friday, with Amal looking overwhelming in a blue Missoni gown. Earlier in a day, George made a picture-perfect entrance at a festival, nearing in a vessel (sans Amal) and posing for a print call for his new film.

The outing to Venice is a discerning one for a pair, who have spent most of a summer during their home on Lake Como in Italy wth a twins, Ella and Alexander. Since a twins’ arrival in June, a Clooney house has spent low-key time with tighten friends and family, including Amal’s mother, Baria Alamuddin, in both a U.K. and Italy.

By mid-July, George, 56, and Amal, 39, started enjoying a few parents-nights-out and were speckled dining – and lucent – at il Gatto Nero, one of their favorite haunts in northern Italy. “You could tell they were happy about a date night,” an witness told PEOPLE during a time. “In a past, they always dined for hours. This time, it was apparent they didn’t wish to be out too late.”

An Italian summer has matched a family, a source formerly told PEOPLE: “The continue has been illusory — balmy and comfortable each day. George and Amal are enjoying a summer with their babies. Both seem unequivocally happy.”

The insider added, “George and Amal are unequivocally hands-on. The babies keep them unequivocally busy, though they both seem to adore being parents.”

Though a span was speckled enjoying a occasional date night, another source told PEOPLE that a late evenings are “a singular occasion.”

“It’s like they suffer carrying a night out with friends, but the babies are still the categorical priority,” explained a second source.

It hasn’t been all well-spoken sailing, however. George publicly spoke out in late July, slamming a French publication repository after photographers “scaled a fence, climbed a tree and illegally took cinema of a infants inside a home.” The actor announced his skeleton to pursue authorised movement opposite a paparazzi.
