George Clooney Says a Biggest Change about Fatherhood Is ‘How Little Control we Actually Have’

George Clooney is still marveling over his standing as a new dad.

The actor-turned-director non-stop adult about his life with baby twins — Alexander and Ella, both 3 months — when he attended a premiere of his new movie, Suburbicon, during a Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday.

“I’m so excited,” Clooney, 56, told PEOPLE on a red runner about his children. When asked what was a many startling thing about fatherhood, he pronounced it was a finish miss of control.

“[I was surprised] how most we suspicion we had in control and how small control we indeed have,” he said. “I have none! we consider everybody fast realizes that.”

Clooney’s wife, human-rights counsel Amal, sat out this premiere, nonetheless she was on-hand final weekend when they attended the Venice Film Festival. However, Clooney was discerning to acknowledge that his daughter, Ella, looks like her mom.

“My daughter looks accurately like Amal,” he said. “She has large pleasing eyes … It’s incredible.”

Clooney — who directed, co-wrote and constructed alongside longtime collaborators a Coen brothers — was assimilated during a premiere by a film’s star Julianne Moore. The plan also stars Matt Damon, though he did not attend Saturday’s premiere.

Clooney and Damon had a blast during a Venice Film Festival premiering a film final week and after partied during a same venue where a Clooneys hold a accepting for their guest when they got married in 2014. The dual stars are tighten friends — and Clooney revealed to Damon on a set of a film final year that Amal was awaiting twins.

Suburbicon is a dim comedy about a white suburban city that’s rocked with secular tragedy when an African-American family moves in. It is slated to strike theaters on Oct. 27.
