National youth preference cabinet authority Venkatesh Prasad has urged a BCCI to use white round in a U-19 limited-overs Vinoo Mankad Trophy. This is to concede a colts to have a knowledge of personification white-ball cricket before entrance onto a general scene.
“During a Under-19 tri-series in Kolkata, a lot of players complained about not carrying prior knowledge of personification white-ball cricket. They were personification white-ball cricket for a initial time. So I’ve requested a BCCI to move in a change,” Prasad said.
The cricket house is open to a suggestion. “Yes, he (Prasad) has done a ask though this can usually occur subsequent year. We will put a matter before a contest committee,” BCCI joint-secretary Amitabh Chaudhary said.
Meanwhile, Prasad pronounced performances in Cooch Behar Trophy — a domestic three-day contest for U-19 cricketers — would also be taken into comment for World Cup selection.
“What I’ve seen during a tri-series, we contingency contend I’m really tender with a talent on offer. And Rahul Dravid being a coach, a destiny of Indian cricket is in protected hands. We’ve picked a patrol for a U-19 tri-series in Sri Lanka though there are many gifted players outward a group as well. We will apparently keep an eye on a Cooch Behar Trophy as we wish to shortlist a possibilities for a World Cup.”
The BCCI currently announced an 18-member India U-19 patrol for a Sri Lanka tri-series with England being a other team. The contest will be played from Dec 2 to 21.
