Holy hell, creator Noah Hawley didn’t disaster around when kicking off this season, set in 1979. While there’s most to adore throughout, a defining mins come when things go badly — as they mostly do in Fargo — after a elementary corruption try inside The Waffle Hut. A small-time bully tries to extract income from a judge, gets sprayed in a eyes, stabbed in a back, sees a UFO and afterwards gets strike by a Corvair (unsafe during any speed), going by a front window — though not before sharpened a judge, a prepare and a waitress (twice) and losing his shoe. It’s chaotic, horrifying, hilarious, uncanny and unexpected. And you’re hooked. — T.G.
