Actor Sonam Kapoor feels there is a need for some-more films that revolve around women.
Her stirring film Veere Di Wedding, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania, is themed around a wedding. Kareena will play a partial of a bride-to-be in a movie.
“Veere Di Wedding looks so different. There should be some-more such films, this should be a norm,” Sonam told PTI.
“In Hollywood there are many female-oriented films that are such large blockbusters and are entertaining. We don’t have such films in India.”
The actor believes Hindi film attention is 20 years behind when it comes to creation female-led blurb stories.
“Julia Roberts was outrageous in a ’80s and ’90s. Here it was about my father (Anil Kapoor) and a other actors. The ’90s were about a Khans (Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman). With a generation, we are during slightest removing a event to do that, though we are 20 years behind,” she said.
