Players harmed in Ghana bar Asante Kotoko train accident

A train carrying Ghanaian soccer group Asante Kotoko was concerned in an collision on Wednesday that left several players and officials wanting sanatorium treatment, a group said.

The Kumasi-based bar were returning home from a Ghana Premier League diversion opposite Inter Allies in Accra when their train struck a still vehicle.

No fatalities have been reported yet several players are receiving treatment.

“Players and officials on a group train returning to Kumasi after a diversion with Inter Allies in Accra have been concerned in an accident,” a group pronounced on their central Twitter feed.

“The collision occurred around 21:45 during Nkawkaw, when a train ran into a still vehicle.

“Personnel on a train are generally fine. Some are, however, receiving diagnosis during a Holy Family Hospital, Nkawkaw.”

The Ghana Football Association pronounced it has dispatched a commission to a sanatorium to offer support.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with Kumasi Asante Kotoko, quite a harmed officials and players, who are now receiving treatment,” a GFA combined in a statement.
