Neve Campbell Explains a Meaning Behind Her Son Raynor’s ‘Unique’ Name and Why She Chose It

Neve Campbell‘s name diversion is strong.

The Skyscraper star stopped by Live with Kelly and Ryan recently to speak about her new film, and non-stop adult a bit about how she and partner JJ Feild chose their baby son Raynor‘s name.

“Our son Caspian has a singular name, we like carrying a singular name,” Campbell, 44, pronounced of herself and a couple’s 6-year-old. “So we weren’t gonna call him Bob since we can’t be Bob and Caspian.”

“It means soldier of visualisation or someone who trusts good judgment, and we favourite a thought of that for him,” she added, explaining they chose “the British spelling” of a name and that it also comes from German.

Since she and Feild, 40, adopted baby Raynor progressing this year, Campbell says their comparison son “loves” and has truly embraced his big-brother role.

“He’s not competitive,” shares a Party of Five alum of Caspian. “He climbs into a crib with a baby in a morning and takes him out of his nap fit and reads him books. He’s in adore with him. It’s a cutest thing.”

The House of Cards actress announced in late Jun that she and her associate actor lover Feild had adopted Raynor 5 months previous, revealing a news alongside a sweet Instagram photo of her family pulling a hiker while out for a walk.

“Sheer joy!!!!….So it’s been a tip adult until now as JJ and we wanted to wait until it was central though we adopted a pleasing baby child 5 months ago. His name is Raynor and we are madly in adore with him,” she revealed. “Our 6 year aged son Caspian is over a moon and asks each morning ‘Can we reason my baby? Can we feed my baby? Can we play with my baby.’ ”

“It’s a many implausible thing we’ve experienced,” Campbell continued. “We’re so beholden for this pleasing light entrance into the lives and we consider of and are beholden to his birth family each day for such an implausible gift. This design was taken moments after the adoption became central yesterday and I’ve been failing to share the news with we all!”

Skyscraper is in theaters national now.
