Hours after announcing that VH1’s Lily Neumeyer would supplement MTV to her reach as conduct of development, a Viacom-owned wire network is serve consolidating a staff.
Following growth head/MTV2 executive vp Eli Lehrer’s preference to leave a company, MTV has laid off 3 pivotal members of his staff. Senior vp array growth of West Coast existence programming Colin Nash, comparison executive MTV array growth Laurel Stier and Lehrer’s assistant/junior growth exec have all been let go.
The decision, sources say, comes as MTV is serve consolidating a growth group underneath Neumeyer, who was promoted early Tuesday to conduct growth during both MTV and VH1, stating to Nina L. Diaz.
MTV declined comment.
The preference to rouse Neumeyer noted a latest converging efforts for MTV and VH1 underneath network boss Chris McCarthy. Both Viacom-owned networks will now share one unscripted and scripted growth teams. Diaz was promoted final year to manage unscripted, while VH1’s Maggie Malina is approaching to be promoted to supplement scripted to her slip following Mina Lefevre’s exit.
Nash assimilated MTV in 2010 as vp array development. He worked on array including Punk’d and The Real World, among others. Stier started during VH1 in 2007 as an executive partner before rising to executive of prolongation and growth during both MTV and VH1. The contingent reported to Lehrer.
Lehrer’s purpose as MTV2 exec vp will not be filled; instead, Diaz and Neumeyer will catch those responsibilities as well. Sources note that MTV2 will not be folded during this time, yet a stream miss of care positively signals that it is not a priority it once was underneath Lehrer.
