One of a misfortune John Travolta cinema of all time?? DEFINITELY — though, for a record, a Grease star has now done THREE cinema that have netted a dreaded 0 percent measure from critics over on film examination site Rotten Tomatoes.
Regardless, Gotti — Travolta’s code new biopic about a late mobster John Gotti — strike theaters for a initial time yesterday, and it’s already a disaster.
As of 12:00 p.m. ET currently (Saturday, Jun 16), a whopping TWENTY film critics had reviewed a film… and all 20 had bloody it, withdrawal the dreaded 0 percent measure intact on a examination site. Not great, John!
But wait — it gets worse! The reviews that critics are withdrawal are quite ban in how they report this apparently awful film, too!
“That a long-gestating crime play Gotti is a gloomy disaster comes as no surprise. What does startle is only how multifaceted a gloomy disaster it is.”
THR‘s Jordan Mintzer combined (below):
“The film is flattering terrible: feeble written, abandoned of tension, absurd in spots and only plain lifeless in others.”
EW‘s Chris Nashawaty was during slightest a small thoughtful to Travolta himself (below):
“It’s not a good movie. But a censure can’t be laid during a star’s Ferragamo-shod feet.”
And AARP‘s Tim Appelo even partially praises Travolta for his over-the-top mafiosi description of a barbarous host trainer (below):
“For Travolta fans, it’s value granting a script’s extravagance to see him get his mafiosi on.”
But other critics, like Peter Travers from Rolling Stone, aren’t so inexhaustible (below):
“Starring in this mobster biopic that deserves to get whacked is an offer Travolta should have refused. Insane testimonials from Gotti supporters during a finish are as tighten as this shitshow will ever get to good reviews.”
