The film premiered during 2018 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and won a People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness. It was also screened during MAMI 2018 where it was appreciated with a station ovation.
The tract of Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota revolves around a male who has a singular condition, inborn insensitivity to pain, hence a title. The film’s pretension translates to ‘the male who feels no pain’.
