Indu Sarkar receives 14 cuts by CBFC, Madhur Bhandarkar appalled
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who has been asked by a bury house to mislay difference like RSS and Akali from his film Indu Sarkar, says he doesn’t wish to make changes as he fears a hint will get affected. Bhandarkar had screened a film on a 1975-77 Emergency for a Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) cabinet on Monday. They suggested 12 cuts and dual disclaimers, withdrawal a filmmaker appalled. Asked about his subsequent move, Bhandarkar said, “I don’t wish to change anything given it will impact a hint of my film. We will go to a Revising Committee first. Hope it gets privileged there. If not, we will have no choice though to go to a Tribunal.”
