How Kristin Cavallari Is Making Nashville Move a ‘Smooth Transition’ for Her Kids: ‘It’s Been a Lot of Adjustments’

Kristin Cavallari was a black of one-liners and eye rolls during her days on Laguna Beach and after The Hills — and now, it seems that a apple doesn’t tumble too distant from a tree when it comes to her daughter Saylor James.

“We call her a sugar pester since she’s only pristine sass,” a existence alum told PEOPLE Tuesday during a launch of her valuables line Uncommon James‘ Fall/Winter collection. “She’s adorable, yet she will literally slice your face off.”

Now that Cavallari’s 21-month-old “is starting to speak a lot,” her sass has gotten her into some difficulty with other kids during a mommy-and-me category they’re holding together.

“She sits adult on a tip of these slides and there’s other babies during a bottom, and she’ll lay there yelling during them to pierce like, ‘Move, move!’ ” she says. “I’ll say, ‘Saylor, we can’t do that!’ But it does make me laugh.”

Cavallari, 30, shares Saylor with father and NFL star Jay Cutler. The pair, who tied a knot in 2013, are also relatives to sons Jaxon Wyatt, 3, and Camden Jack, 5.

Cutler recently signed a one-year, $10 million contract with a Miami Dolphins — that means he will be divided from a family’s home in Nashville, Tennessee, for a 2017 NFL season.

“There’s been a lot of adjustments for [the kids] starting a new school, relocating and Daddy being gone,” Cavallari says. “I’m only perplexing unequivocally tough to make all as well-spoken of a transition as possible for them right now.”

Though it’ll be formidable carrying her father divided from home, Cavallari says she’s creation it work by roving to Miami with a kids for each home game.

“Really, it’s not that bad,” she says. “We’re going to see him a lot, and a 5 months will go by quickly. Thanksgiving, Christmas and all that good stuff, we’ll be out there with him.”

Now that her boys are a small older, Cavallari says they’re both “at unequivocally fun ages where they know that Daddy is out there personification football.”

“The boys get so into it, they’re so excited,” she continues. “They have a pants, a jersey and a helmets. They have their whole outfit, and it’s a lot of fun.”

Unfortunately for a pair, though, a stretch leaves small time for date night.

“There’s probably no such thing as date night these days only since Jay is gone,” she explains. “But when we go to Miami, we know my mother-in-law is going to come for a lot of games and she’ll watch a kids and let us go to dinner.”

She adds, “Before Jay went to Miami, we really made a unwavering effort to have date night. Probably not as mostly as we would both like, yet it’s critical to go out, have a integrate drinks and let lax and only have a good time.”
