Hoda Kotb is drumming into a southern accent for her latest role.
“She runs this pleasing candy emporium full of colors of smells and sweetness, and she is this honeyed woman who only loves everybody,” adds a 53-year-old, who is mom to 10-month-old daughter Haley Joy.

Kotb’s impression teams adult with Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck in a episode, that sees a contingent join army to help Mrs. Sweetums run her business.
“Minnie and Daisy are a ideal people to assistance Mrs. Sweetums and assistance run her shop,” she says. “They’re a happy helpers! They are full of goodness. They wish to come and do a right thing.”

While many fans of a radio journalist might be stoked to hear her voice on their children’s favorite show, Kotb promises a respect is all hers.
“I grew adult examination Mickey and a gang, so to be in a counter doing a voiceover [as] partial of a squad … Minnie, Daisy and me, hello!” she says. “And to be part of that legacy, even a little part, I’ll take it!”
