Stephen Guarino has nabbed a pivotal purpose in Showtime’s arriving commander I’m Dying Up Here.
The Happy Endings alum will play Sully, a crazy stand-up out of Chicago who is described as “over-the-top to a indicate of tiresome” in a dim comedy. He joins a formerly announced RJ Cyler (Me and Earl and a Dying Girl), who will execute Adam, a struggling comedian peaceful to do anything to make it.
Produced by Endemol Shine Studios and Assembly Entertainment, a hourlong plan is created by Dave Flebotte (Will Grace). Flebotte, Jim Carrey, Michael Aguilar (The Departed) and Christina Wayne (Copper) offer as executive producers. The pilot, that is scheduled to fire this fall, will be destined by 50/50 and Warm Bodies helmer Jonathan Levine.
Guarino is repped by CAA and Haven Entertainment, along with attorneys Jon Moonves and Gordon Bobb at Del Shaw Moonves Tanaka Finkelstein Lezcano.
