Actress Kalki Koechlin, who starred in a Shonali Bose directorial “Margarita With A Straw” in that she plays a purpose of a lady with intelligent palsy, believes that incapacity needs prominence in a country.
With her film being screened during a initial book of a three-day International Film Festival for Persons with Disabilities (IFFPD) 2015 on Tuesday during Siri Fort, Kalki is “thrilled” and happy with a support from a government.
“I’m so anxious that this is happening, with a support of supervision and with sparkling films from everywhere. Disability needs prominence in a country. So unhappy we can’t be there this time,” a 31-year-old pronounced in a statement.
“Margarita With A Straw” had a universe premiere on Sep 8 final year as partial of a Contemporary World Cinema Programme during a 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The film was after screened during Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia, BFI London Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and a Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
