Care homes on NHS comparison website

The opening of each caring home in England can now be compared on a NHS website.

Homes have been combined to My NHS, partial a NHS Choices site, permitting users to leave ratings and reviews to assistance other people consider services.

Each caring home is scored on a turn of safety, staff turnover and food hygiene, among other standards.

A database can be searched regulating a postcode, segment or home name to check on comforts with or but nursing.

People can access:

  • user reviews – including star ratings
  • Care Quality Commission investigation ratings of caring homes
  • Food Hygiene Standard rating
  • levels of staff turnover
  • whether a home has a purebred manager in post
  • key information such as location, services on offer, hit details

Health Minister Alistair Burt said: “We know how formidable critical decisions about caring for a desired one can be – this is a feat for those who are disturbed about caring – with a click of a symbol a open will be means to make an sensitive choice about caring and make those formidable decisions easier.
