Cabinet approves new metro rail policy

The organisation on Wednesday certified a new metro rail routine for expanding a metro network conflicting several cities in a country, as reported by PTI. The new routine was certified by a Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The metro routine will pronounce about standardising norms and building a shopping apparatus for doing of a projects. It will also pronounce about allowance and financing, officials said. At present, metro projects with a sum length of some-more than 350 km are operational in 8 cities – Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Kochi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Gurugram.

Metro projects are also underneath proceed in Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Pune and Lucknow.
