Rabindranath Tagore’s brief story Kabuliwala was expelled in 1892. The story follows a Pashtun businessman from Kabul, who comes to Calcutta for offered dry-fruits each year and while vital in India he becomes friends with a five-year-old lady Mini from a middle-class elegant family as she reminds him of his daughter who lives in Kabul.
